Alexander Shagov, Head coach of the Russian Women’s U19 team:

- We had not bad first half, rather good second. In principle the team did everything we had asked. We had some changes in the line-up and the tactics again. The changes were not structural but mostly dealt with personal tasks for particular players.  We created a lot of chances during the match but we didn’t make use of many of them either. Those drawbacks that we have seen today as well as in the matches versus Cyprus and Belarus are a consequence of the lack of training camps, training days and international friendly games.

Match day 3 results:

Russia – Wales – 5:0 (1:0)

Belarus – Cyprus - 4:2 (1:0)

Final team standing: Russia - 9 points, Belarus - 6, Wales, Cyprus – 1 each.

The Russian Women’s U19 team qualified to the Elite round of the UEFA European Women’s U19 Championship 2014 that will take place next April.
