The training camp was fruitful

From 4 to 14 of December, the Russian youth team (players born in 2003) held a training camp at the “Sputnik” sport complex in Sochi.

The team’s head coach, Stanislav Korotayev commented on the results of the camp for the official website of the RFU.

Stanislav Korotaev, head coach of the Russian national team:

- From 4 to 14 December we held the second training camp in Sochi. I recall that the previous one was held from November 12 to 22, and football players from the regions took part in it. This time we invited the players from the Moscow teams – “Spartak”, “Lokomotiv”, “Dynamo”, “CSKA” and “Chertanovo”, as well as one player from the Volgograd “Rotor” and one representative of the French “PSG”.

As part of the gathering, we played two test matches. Our first rival was the FC “Sochi” among the boys born in 2004. Vladislav Shitov drawn up the double, as well as Sergei Pinyaev and Garrick Levin scored one goal each. Two more goals were scored by the opponents in their own gates.
In the second fight we beat the team of peers from the FC "Krasnodar" Academy- 4:0. Vlad Shitov, Artem Sokolov, Daniil Fomin excelled during that match and Pinyaev with his penalty kick. We were confronted by an organized, tactical rival. It should be noted that, despite a major victory, the sparring turned out to be tense.
The coaching staff believes that the training camp was very fruitful. We are satisfied with the results of the work done. All that we had inset in the players during the trainings, we later saw in their performance during the matches.
