Cooperation memorandum is signed


On Friday, December 1, on the eve of the FIFA World Cup 2018 draw in Moscow, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the RFU and the Football Federation of Portugal. The RFU General Director (General Secretary) Alexander Alayev, and the President of the Portuguese Federation, Fernando Gomes, took part in the event.

The Treaty is meant to strengthen and develop further cooperation on the matters of exchanging resources and experience between the football associations of the two countries. They undertake to coordinate their actions for organizing and holding international friendly matches between men's and women's, youth, mini-football teams of both countries. It is also planned to develop joint studying and training programs for football players, promotion of women's, youth and junior football, cooperation in marketing, medicine, science and technical support, education, refereeing and other areas.
