Worked well at training camp

From November 12-th to 22-nd, the newly formed junior national team of Russia (players born in 2003) held their first training camp.

The head coach Stanislav Korotayev summed up to the official website of the RFU the results of the camp, which was held in Sochi on the basis of sports and recreation complex "Sputnik".

Stanislav Korotaev, the head coach of the Russian junior national team:

- Our team held its first training camp in Sochi from 12 to 22 of November. 23 football players took part in it, and they all represented the regions.

In the frames of this camp our team played two friendly matches. In the first one we met juniors of the years 2002-2003 from FC Sochi and won with a score of 5:0. The first half turned out to be more interesting due to intensity of emotions, because we were opposed mostly to the older guys in it.

Footballers from FC Kuban school (players born in 2003) were our opponents in another meeting. It is a very good team. They started this match very aggressively, put pressure on us, and we were not ready for such course of events. As a result, Krasnodar scored a goal, but then our guys applied what we had worked out at the camp, and showed their skills. We scored three times and won with a score of 3:1.

Our players worked very well at the camp. All what we had planned was fulfilled, and even more. We trained in a two-time mode. The lineup consisted of individually strong and interesting players, which, we hope, will continue to grow. The guys did a great tactical job. They were well aware of all the information that the coaching staff gave to them, and implemented it on the field. This is very encouraging.

It should be noted that we worked in good conditions. We practiced on a good natural field of the "Sputnik" complex. In addition, we were lucky with the weather.

Our team will hold the next training camp from December 4 to December 14 in the same place. Completely different guys will take part in it. This time we will invite players from Moscow teams, as well as one footballer from Volgograd.
